Bootcamp Install Windows 7 Expanding Windows Files

Bootcamp Install Windows 7 Expanding Windows Files Average ratng: 3,8/5 2603 reviews

Dec 29, 2017 - Macbook Pro Mid 2014 with OS X 10.10.3. Attempted to install Windows via Bootcamp and it has hung 3 times at expanding 65%.

Hi, I'm trying to install the Windows 7 beta on a second SATA drive I have (the first one contains a WinXP installation), in a dual boot configuration. When installing by booting from the DVD, the installation gets stuck at 0% of 'Expanding Files' (mouse pointer gets stuck, numlock does not respond.) When installing through my WinXP installation, everything goes fine until the first reboot - which brings me into the non-XP installation part, which gets stuck at ~30% expanding files. The installation image is fine - I tried installing from various sources (DVD and from my HD).

An installation with the same image inside a virtual machine (with MS Virtual PC) worked flawlessly. Any log files that might help? The last line in my 'setupact.log', if it is relevant, is '2009-01-16 23:33:09, Info [0x0606cc] IBS Calling WIMApplyImage (flags = 0x184).' Thanks, Lior. Based on these three observations, I'd venture a guess that you need SATA drivers to successfully perform the installation.

Step 2: Get WIC Reset Key. The One Time RESET KEY is required for RESET FUNCTION when you are using the WIC Reset utility to reset Epson L360 printer. Wic Reset Key for use with Epson Adjustment Program (WICReset on Windows, iWIC on Mac) is ready for purchase on ResetKey.net. Step 3: How you can reset Epson L360 printer with Epson adjustment. Ok I have noticed alot of people have had problems with this myself included, and the answer is almost too simple. The problem I was having was once I got to the expanding files step it would get to 89% within a few minutes. Then it would hang for hours stuck at 89%. I tried restarting the installation 4 times. The first time it only got to 9% and stalled. So on my fourth attempt after watching it hang for a good 2 hours I ejected the installation disk in the middle of installation and popped in another another Windows 7 RC installation disk that I forgot I had just to see what would happen.

What happened is it immediately finished expanding from 89% and the installation was complete in about 20 minutes. I should note that the first installation disk I was trying was a Memorex that had just been pulled from a jewel case prior to burning. The second disk I used was a Verbatim that had been burned some time ago and was actually pretty scratched up. Both of the disks where burned using the same.iso downloaded from MSDN using the same burner and ImgBurn as the burning software. Hope this helps some people.

Ya i had 2 discs both containing the iso i dl from digital river. I have the student version of windows 7. I made a disc containing the iso and burned it at 4x then i tried it and got an 8xo error. So then i made a disc containing the same iso but i burned it at 3x.

This got the expanding files to 39% then i switched out the 3x and put in the 4x and got the expanding files to 68% so then i switched out the discs again. For some reason installation was getting hung up but when you swapped the discs windows installation was able to expand the files. Similar help and support threads Thread Forum Hey, so the past few times I installed Windows I got this once or twice until I installed w7 ultimate, but this time I've tried professional, home premium and ultimate and none will work I'm doing it by usb. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it, also in using mob drivers in dvd rom.
