This Buckle is from the Kingdom of Prussia and is a brass ( M1895 ) pre-war enlisted man's item. The belt was dyed black to conform to the mid-war regulation. Imperial Germany was composed of four kingdoms; Prussia, Bavaria, Saxony & Wurttemberg along with several Grand Duchies, Duchies and Principalities all of which contributed manpower to the war with several distinctive uniform items. The belt measures approximately 37' long. This is a great collectors piece of history. Multiple item purchases can be combined for savings in postage.
